Andrew Fleming
Drew Fleming is a justice-impacted leader whose journey from lived adversity to transformative leadership fuels every aspect of his work. Drew’s story is one of profound struggle and resilience: more than 12 years of incarceration, and a lifetime navigating addiction, mental health challenges, suicide attempts, divorce, homelessness, and childhood sexual trauma. He brings an authenticity and depth of understanding that only comes from lived experience, knowing firsthand the pain of systems that fail, the struggle of starting over, and the relentless work required to rebuild a life after trauma. As a partner at MindSculpt Recovery, Drew channels these hard-won insights into powerful opportunities for change. He specializes in program development, motivational speaking, and systems-level advocacy that bridges behavioral health, reentry services, and sustainable recovery infrastructure. His approach is grounded in real-world experience—he knows what works because he’s lived what doesn’t. Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Dayton and brings over a decade of direct service experience in peer support, behavioral health, and recovery navigation. He has worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist with Community Bridges’ F-ACT II team, as an Adult Member Advocate within Banner Health Plans, and as a Recovery Support Specialist at The Second Chance Center, where he guides individuals through wraparound systems as they prepare for reentry. In every role, he draws on his lived experience to meet people where they are, offering hope and practical pathways forward. His program development philosophy is rooted in trauma-informed, peer-driven models and interventions that honor dignity while addressing real barriers to stability. Drew has served on the executive board of David’s Hope, Arizona’s Mental Health Criminal Justice Coalition, and as a member of the Arizona Peer & Family Coalition, advocating for diversion, treatment access, and meaningful reentry opportunities. His systems-level perspective ensures that programming at MindSculpt Recovery translates to measurable change for those who need it most. Drew is certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Behavioral Health Technician, and in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). He brings expertise in crisis de-escalation, reentry navigation, workshop facilitation, and audience activation—tools he uses to design programs that are both scalable and deeply human. A lifelong advocate for holistic recovery, Drew’s passion for physical fitness, yoga, meditation, and sound healing is inseparable from his professional work. These practices were instrumental in his own healing, providing the mental clarity, emotional regulation, and physical grounding that traditional treatment too often overlooks. At MindSculpt Recovery, he integrates these modalities into every program, helping others reconnect with their bodies and build resilience from the inside out. For Drew, recovery infrastructure must go beyond symptom management. It must include economic pathways, leadership development, and community reintegration strategies that give people a reason to stay engaged. He’s committed to thinking outside the box and helping people discover their purpose—because purpose is what sustains recovery. As Nietzsche wrote, “A man with a why can overcome any how.” That philosophy guides everything Drew does at MindSculpt Recovery: helping people not just stop using substances, but find what makes life worth showing up for. Drew’s life is proof that transformation is possible, no matter the starting point. He brings to MindSculpt Recovery the vision, relationships, and relentless commitment needed to build programming that truly works—for everyone.
